According to representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, in the first five months of this year, the rate of production and export of pork significantly increased in the country.
So, it is known that from the first days of 2019 to June 1, the volume of pork meat production in Russian agro-industrial companies exceeded 1.7 million tons (live weight).
And this is almost six percent more than the volume of pork that was produced by Russian butchers in the period from January to May (inclusive) in 2018 - then farmers released on the market ninety-seven thousand tons of pork.
Not be superfluous to note the pork production leaders, among which the obvious forwards are the butchers of the Belgorod region - over the year they managed to get a plus of twenty two thousand tons. In second place among the leaders are the Pskov pig farmers, who managed to increase the pace of production by twenty one and a half thousand tons.
The third place went to the Voronezh region with an indicator of almost plus fifteen thousand tons. Next come the butchers of the Krasnodar Territory, who managed to increase volumes by more than eleven thousand tons in a year. And the top five are closed by Kursk with an increase of about ten thousand tons.
It is noteworthy that in parallel with an increase in production volumes, pork exports from the Russian Federation to other countries are also growing. In the first five months of this year, domestic producers sent about fifteen thousand tons of pork to the foreign market, which is five percent higher than last year.
