In connection with the increased demand, the authorities of the Moscow region decided to expand the potential of dairy production, in connection with which a number of projects will be implemented. In particular, it is planned to increase the number of goats in the region. This was stated by Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region Andrei Razin.

“If you increase the number of goats by at least one hundred thousand heads, the market will only be happy about it!” - said the Minister at the V International Agro-Industrial Dairy Forum in the Government House of the Moscow Region.

The advantages of increasing the number of livestock are obvious, because goat milk has a number of useful qualities, it is hypoallergenic and affordable. In addition, goats, due to their compact size, take up less space than their cow counterparts, emphasizes the advantages of Razin.

Note that in October 2018, there were about 67 thousand goats in the region.
