Leaf removal should begin immediately after the appearance of fruit ovaries on the first inflorescence. In this case, the plant is exempted both from old dried leaves, and partially, from green ones.

The best time to remove unnecessary green mass is the morning hours. The wound from the sheet in this case will have time to dry. The optimal frequency of thinning leaves is 1 time per week. At a time, you can remove from the plant no more than 2-3 leaves.

As the fruits ripen on the inflorescences, the leaves are removed to the inflorescences themselves, this speeds up their filling. If the tomatoes develop in the vegetative direction, you can remove several leaves from the middle part of the plant, which will improve the air circulation around it.
