Based on the forecasts of profile analysts of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, this year the volumes of domestic production of fruits, berries and vegetables grown in open areas and in closed ground by farmers and agricultural organizations will increase significantly.

Experts report that gross output in 2019 will exceed six and a half million tons. For clarity, in 2018, the total volume of fruit and vegetable products was 500 thousand tons less than the expected figure declared by experts.

It will not be out of place to note that growing vegetables in greenhouse complexes in the winter season, judging by experts, will exceed the figure of one and a half million tons per year. And this is almost 39% more than last year.

If we talk, for example, about such a crop as potato, then its gross harvest from Russian fields is expected to exceed seven and a half million tons (7.2 million tons were harvested in 2018).

As for the expected yield of berries and fruits, this year experts predict a significant increase in the rate of fruit and berry production - at least up to one and a half million tons (last year the indicators did not exceed 1.2 million tons).
