Extraordinary weather conditions that formed in the Moscow region provoked a natural anomaly.
The fact is that due to the extreme heat in the region, insects such as karakurt spiders began to spread in large quantities. It will not be superfluous to recall that these spiders are poisonous and are also called “black widows”. According to official figures, at least two residents of the Moscow Region have become victims of bites of dangerous karakurt at the moment.
As noted by Elena Volosyuk, representing the interests of the Phobos Weather Center (an enterprise that specializes in implementing innovative methods of processing information from meteorologists), today “black widows” find quite comfortable conditions for their existence in the capital region.
After all, extraordinary heat is the favorite weather of karakurt. But these spiders will not survive winter frosts and even the first autumn cooling, experts are convinced.
Spider karakurt "black widow"
It is important to add that karakurt is a black spider with an impressive abdomen, on which you can easily see red spots or blotches of white. In addition, individuals of exclusively black color are often found in nature without interspersed with other shades. The size of a karakurt can reach one and a half centimeters.
It is noteworthy that during the period of active spread of "black widows" in the fields and shrubs, a significant mortality of farm animals is noted. Often, the livestock sector of the Russian Federation and neighboring states suffered impressive damage due to the fact that poisonous spiders bitten cattle and doomed it to death.
Today, representatives of agriculture actively use insecticides in the fight against karakurt. And to cure individuals affected by black widow poison, they use a special serum, as well as a mixture of sodium hydrosulfate with novocaine and calcium chloride, which is administered intravenously.
According to experts, the larvae of karakurt could be brought to the Moscow Region region with a batch of vegetables or fruits from countries with a predominantly hot climate.
