The other day, employees of the Kletsky district forestry of the Volgograd region noticed that nine young oaks were destroyed on the territory entrusted to them.
Foresters saw only the remains of branching trees and immediately reported this to the police.
Law enforcement officers of the State Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Volgograd Region conducted an investigation and traced the alleged tree shredder. It turned out that the 60-year-old farmer, whose economy is adjacent to the forestry, dealt radically with the oaks.
The suspect admitted that it was he who sawed down the young oak trees. For the simple reason that grass grows on the site next to the oak grove, from which the farmer harvests hay for sale. Oaks, according to the pseudo-agrarian, were too branched and prevented the rays of the sun from fully falling on the grass, which slowed its growth.
Now the farmer has begun preparations for the new agricultural season. And, remembering how last summer the oaks prevented him from growing grass, he went into the forest and simply sawed down the oaks. At the same time, the vandal did not even suspect that his actions caused the state damage in the amount of 50 thousand rubles.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the man under the article “Illegal logging to the extent that forest growth ceases to be significant,” and two years of imprisonment loom on the horizon.
