On the field where winter barley was grown, located in the Vitovsky district of the Nikolaev region, a fire broke out, as reported by the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine (SES).
The cause of the fire is unclear and is currently being established by specialists.
There is information that a fire that engulfed the barley field and completely destroyed the crops occurred immediately at three agricultural enterprises. 23 ha of winter barley died in the fire.
According to the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine (SES), a barley fire was revealed on the vine on June 18 at 10:30 in the territory of the village of Shevchenkovo, in the Vitovsky district. The rescue forces put out the fire on an area of 23 hectares at 11:02.
For information, agrarians of Odessa and Nikolaev regions have already begun harvesting grain crops and threshing barley. In some areas of Odessa and Kherson regions, farmers were unable to start harvesting due to heavy rainfall.
At the same time, it did not rain throughout the region, but only a few farms were affected. While the agrarians of some lands recorded the absence of rain, others observed a three-month rainfall and even hail.
