Kazan scientists have found a way to grow meat using animal stem cells.
To create meat in the laboratory, stem cells are taken from young foals. With the support of a constant temperature regime, air environment, as well as the supply of the necessary substances, the cells grow and feed.
Now the research of scientists has diversified: a certain amount of fat cells is planted on the stem cells. This is done to create the taste of real meat. This makes it possible to obtain a product that is able to completely squeeze the usual stuffing. It is expected that this will happen in the next three years.
Eating meat, you can build muscle, but only if a person leads an active lifestyle.
As the director of the Scientific Clinical Center for Precision and Regenerative Medicine of the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology of Kazan Federal University Albert Rizvanov assures, such meat is not inferior to ordinary meat in taste. Moreover, the methodology for its preparation does not involve the use of antibiotics and other harmful substances.
At the next stage of the work, scientists plan to create artificial steaks, but to release lumpy meat one can not do without a bioprinter that could print it from the cells obtained in incubators.
