The use of polyvinyl chloride pipes (not to be confused with metal-plastic pipes) as a frame greenhouse reinforcement greatly simplifies the process of self-production of a greenhouse on a personal plot. The dimensions of the structure, where l, b, h are the length, width and height, respectively:
- l - 6 m;
- b - 4 m;
- h - 2 m.
Important! To determine the required number and size of pipes in the calculations use simple formula: L = 2πR, where L is the circumference of the arch of the greenhouse; R is the radius of the circle of the arch of the greenhouse; constant π = 3.14.
Based on the planned dimensions of the greenhouse, the diameter is 4 m, therefore, the radius is 2 m. Using the formula, we get the circumference - 12.566 m, half of which is the desired value of the length of one arc - 6.283 m.
And since the arcs are mounted from two plastic segments, to obtain the size of one PVC element, 6.283 m is divided by 2 - 3.141 m comes out. Thus, taking into account rounding, pipes are used with a length of 3.2 m each. The distance between the arches should not exceed one meter, therefore, with a 6-meter length of the structure, it is necessary to purchase 12 tubes, 3.2 m long each.

The construction of the foundation of wood
As a foundation, a wooden box will be used, which is installed on a well-aligned and rammed platform. Wooden boards are attached to each other using screws and a screwdriver, according to the dimensions.
After that, you can use two options:
- in a trench dug around the perimeter of the future greenhouse, lay a wooden frame and cover it with a layer of earth;
- the box is installed on bricks, which are placed in the corners of the site.
Important! On the parallel sides of the wooden support, the metal rods are located opposite each other.
For reliable fixation of a wooden box, a 0.5 m long metal rod is driven into each corner. They are buried in such a way that the outer fragments are flush with the base. Then they drive in, close to the board around the perimeter, iron reinforcement (0.7 m) at a distance of 1 m from each other. The pins should rise 0.4 m.
Installation of arches
The assembly diagram of the flexible frame is as follows:
- For end arcs, two pairs of tubes are connected with tees.
- Using crosses, a connection is made in four single arcs of two 3.2-meter pipes.
Arranged arches put on the metal reinforcement of the base:
- Install the first part of the plastic arc.
- Fix it on the board with a metal bracket.
- The arc is bent and its second end is fixed on a parallel rod on the opposite side of the base, similarly pressing with a bracket.
Greenhouse cover
Available and the most common covering material for the construction of PVC pipes is a dense reinforced polyethylene film. Installation manipulations should be carried out when the ambient temperature exceeds + 16 ° С to prevent “sagging” of the coating layer.
Process technology:
- The film is distributed over the entire surface of the greenhouse frame so that from all sides there is the same backlog.
- Wooden blocks are nailed to the base box, while pressing the covering polyethylene. Fasten the coating in the direction from the center to the corners - first on one side, then, uniformly pulling the canvas on the remaining surfaces.
- Produce additional fastening of the film using clamps to the tubular frame.
- Using a furniture stapler, they cover the prepared frames for window leaves and doors with a film.
