Agricultural producers in Poland increase the cost of tomatoes made by local farmers.
And to date, the price tag for tomatoes has skyrocketed to eighty-two US cents (and in some areas - up to ninety-six cents) per kilogram package. Polish distributors and farmers are in no hurry to ship tomatoes at a lower price.
Based on this information, we can say that in just a few days the cost of tomatoes in the Polish market grew by an average of twelve percent.
According to analysts of the agro-industrial complex, the main reason for the rise in price of tomatoes lies in a sharp decrease in the supply of tomatoes due to adverse weather conditions. Market operators note that in just two days off the volume of tomatoes that was presented at Polish outlets was not able to fully cover the demand among consumers.
Therefore, I had to raise prices. Today, the popularity of tomatoes in the Polish market remains elevated, even despite a significant rise in price. Such conditions make it possible for farmers to continue raising selling prices.
It will not be amiss to note that today the cost of tomatoes on the shelves of Polish outlets exceeds the cost of a similar product in July 2018 by about thirty-one percent.
