The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food announced the launch of an information campaign, within the framework of which farmers will receive knowledge about state support and programs, as reported by the acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Olga Trofimtseva at a press conference.
Olga Trofimtseva is of the opinion that Ukrainian farmers are not sufficiently informed about government support for the industry. To defeat ignorance in the ranks of farmers, ministry specialists will speak with them locally, not in Kiev.
In June-July this year, seminars will be held in all regions of Ukraine, which will provide interested parties with complete information on the procedure for obtaining state support. In the future, farmers will be able at any time to turn to responsible specialists in the regions, which will be consulted.
The first workshop of this kind was already held in Kiev on May 22 this year. Other workshops will be held on schedule. It can be found on the official website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
Today in the country there are over 33 thousand farms. Each of them is engaged in processing no more than 500 hectares of land. At the same time, farms account for about 70% of the total number of agricultural enterprises in Ukraine, of which there are currently 49 thousand. Agricultural products are also produced by 4 million private farms, Olga Trofimtseva noted.
