Vinnytsia region of Ukraine in recent years has become increasingly attractive for domestic winegrowers.
And in many respects the reason for this was the climatic changes in the country, which made Vinnitsa a promising platform for the development of Ukrainian winemaking.
It is noteworthy that in 2018, the average yield in the region exceeded three thousand nine hundred tons of grapes from each cultivated hectare. Such information was shared with the public by representatives of the press service of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development and Natural Resources at the regional state administration.
In addition, the department emphasized that Vinnytsia’s winemakers are playing a role in reducing precipitation and increasing the general air temperature. In this regard, today the agricultural producers of the region seriously intend to increase the total area for the cultivation of grapes of different varieties.
Considering that over the past few years, the area of vineyards that were part of the assets of farms of various categories in Vinnitsa has not changed, an increase in the number of territories will presumably bring the wine-making industry of the region to a qualitatively new level.
