Based on the information shared by representatives of the Federal State Statistics Service in the Republic of Karelia with the general public, the region is significantly losing ground in the field of meat production.
According to Kareliastat, last month, manufacturing companies of various forms of management released only two hundred tons of livestock products to the market. If we talk about the annual expression of indicators, then we are talking about a decrease in production by thirty-eight percent.
As for the gross volume of production of poultry and farm animals for slaughter, in this case we can talk about the release of only one hundred tons.
For clarity, it is worth adding that a year earlier this indicator was forty-seven and a half percent higher. It is noteworthy that the entire volume of these products was put on the market exclusively by representatives of agricultural organizations.
The farm (peasant) economic entities of Karelia made a minimal contribution.
If we compare the indicators with the figures of June 2018, the total production volume of agricultural entrepreneurs has decreased almost twice and does not exceed fifty two and a half percent.
