On the occasion of the next issue of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), one of the major fairs and congresses on consumer technology, to be held in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA), LG introduced its first intelligent greenhouse. It can be installed in the kitchen to get vegetables and fresh herbs than in the best vegetable store.
At first glance, the LG Indoor Garden looks like a refrigerator; but inside there are several trays for planting seeds. The system developed by LG is intelligent. It is able to control vital aspects such as light, temperature or water to ensure that plants are healthy and not inconvenient.
According to LG, in this device, which includes 24 seeders and various seeds, the conditions of the natural habitat of plants are created. Each pot has everything you need for plant growth: from peat moss to fertilizer, including, of course, the seeds themselves.
LG claims that such a greenhouse is enough to feed a family of four with their own crops. In particular, 20 different plant varieties can be grown, including romaine lettuce, rucola, chicory and basil.
This smart greenhouse is part of the LG Smart Green movement, which includes not only reforestation of millions of trees, but also the development of devices for sustainable nutrition.
