The developers from Denmark for a long time came up with an alternative to chemical washing things and, in the end, presented a washing powder made from ... forest mushrooms.
It is unlikely that any of us had the idea that laundry can be washed with mushrooms, and it will surprise with its cleanliness and freshness. However, Novozymes researchers have proven that mushrooms make washing much more effective.
“Using our powder, you can remove even the most difficult stains from tomato sauce or fat. And all thanks to the special enzymes that we extracted from the mushrooms, ”the scientists say. They managed to get mushroom enzymes to break down the fats and proteins that make up the stain on clothes.
Mushrooms have in their diet mainly organics, which they consume from the earth, the developers explain. This organic matter is precisely that determining factor that helps to carefully exfoliate dirt on clothing.

“That is, housewives do not need to spend resources to heat water,” the Danes emphasize the environmental friendliness and efficiency of their invention. “In addition, there are no chemicals in our powder that poison the environment, and this is an important point for those who protect nature!”
