In 2018, farmers in Stavropol managed to bring their region to the leaders in the production of cucumbers and tomatoes in closed ground conditions. The region’s indicators are so high that now it takes the second place among all regions of Russia.

Krasnodar Territory settled in first place. However, this does not bother Stavropol workers, who next year intend to firmly strengthen their leadership positions and oust agrarians from other areas.

The plans of the Stavropolites for the near future are to reach the yield of greenhouse vegetables of 90 thousand tons. In the next few months, new greenhouse complexes will be put into operation, the area for growing vegetables in closed ground will be increased, and additional staff involved in greenhouse work will be involved in the work.

“We intend to provide tomatoes from our greenhouses with 30% of the all-Russian market all year round,” the Stavropol agrarians ambitiously declare, who are ready, not in word but in deed, to prove their strength and agrarian talents.
