2018 gave gardeners of Ukraine an unusually generous harvest of apricots. tons of these fruits, analysts say.
In 2018, 112 thousand were harvested by Ukrainian gardeners. For comparison, in 2017, the yield level of these fruits stopped at around 87 thousand tons.
Industry experts explain that such results became possible due to the not too harsh winter of 2017/18, as well as the lack of spring frost during the flowering period and during the formation of fruits.A large increase in the production of apricots affected their market value in the midst of the season. The monitoring results of APK-Inform: Vegetables and Fruits indicate that in July last year apricots were sold at a price 6% lower than in July 2017.
