Large batches of medicinal herbs from Ukrainian fields today are in great demand among buyers from Poland, Bulgaria and Germany. Experts are confident that over time, the consignment of herbs to Europe will only increase.

The owner of the company "Dobrotrav", which specializes in the cultivation and harvesting of high-quality medicinal raw materials of plant origin, admits that today such crops from Ukrainian open spaces as sea buckthorn, birch leaves, elderberry, coltsfoot are very popular in Europe. The roots and leaves of dandelion, echinacea, the roots of marshmallow and burdock, linden blossom, as well as nettle and plantain.

“The fact is that in Europe they gradually abandon their own cultivation of medicinal plants,” says the owner of Dobrotrava, Evgeny Shumeyko. “It is cheaper and easier for them to buy herbs from us, Ukrainian suppliers, and then use them domestically or export them to other countries.”

As a result, Ukrainian herbs are also exported from Europe overseas - to the countries of America and Asia.

In 2017, Ukrainian manufacturers sold about 4 thousand tons of medicinal herbs to European buyers. Over time, the demand for these products of Ukrainian origin (high-quality and affordable) will only grow, I am sure Shumeyko.
