Another two years will pass, and Romania will be fully equipped to combat hail. The technology of resisting hail, which has a detrimental effect on the land and the crop, is characterized by an ultramodern approach and high adaptability.
The name of this system is “cloud sowing”. In Romania, several dozen sites have already been launched from which special missiles will launch into the sky. These rockets attack potentially hail clouds with iodine silver.
“Silver is loaded into special capsule shells that fly into the sky and break the clouds in which hail forms,” experts say. - Today we have already 60 such sites. By 2020, we plan to increase their number to two hundred. "
Previously, the method of combating hail clouds using silver bullets was tested in China and Russia. And, it should be noted that the results of the tests there did not greatly please the experimenters.

The effect on the environment does occur, because during the operation of the system, silver iodide shells spray certain chemicals in a cloud accumulation in order to change the formation of rain or hail.
“Of course, silver is not as dangerous as heavy metals,” scientists say. “But, be that as it may, this is a chemical compound.” And it is as toxic as, for example, lead. ”
Despite the statements of scientists, Romania plans to protect 57% of its territories from the frequent hail that regularly dominate the possessions of Romanian farmers. By 2022, silver missile launch pads will protect 8.4 million hectares of land.
“The effectiveness of the method is obvious,” the experts are sure. “For every million euros spent on installing the sites, the damage is estimated at 14 million euros.”
