The mission of the General Administration for Customs Affairs of the PRC (GACC) has started in Ukraine, the purpose of which is to evaluate the system of state control of cattle meat production, the State Food and Beverage Service said in a statement.
Throughout the week, mission participants will work in the Vinnitsa, Ternopil and Sumy regions.
Foreign experts will be familiarized with the work of the State Research Institute of Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary Sanitary Expertise, as well as consider slaughter and processing enterprises.
At a meeting with the leadership of the State Food and Beverage Service, the Chinese delegation familiarized themselves with the epizootic situation in Ukraine on acute infectious diseases of cattle, and also discussed a plan for state monitoring of residues of veterinary drugs and pollutants in beef.
In addition, the requirements for the biological safety of slaughter and processing enterprises, reaction mechanisms to detect outbreaks of cattle diseases, control programs and certification of products for sale abroad were examined.
The meeting participants analyzed the cattle disease control system, including the program for monitoring spongiform encephalopathy, and the functioning of the tracking system in force in Ukraine.
