Representatives of the Primorsky Territory authorities announced the abolition of quarantine in yet another region. We are talking about the Spassky region, in which for a long time the foot-and-mouth disease virus raged and exterminated cattle.

The fact that quarantine was terminated not only in the personal farms of the Spassky Ryan, but also in the backyards of the locality, became known after a corresponding publication on the official portal of the government of Primorsky Krai.

It will not be superfluous to recall that last week was marked by the abolition of quarantine measures for two more wounds of the coastal region - Oktyabrsky and Mikhailovsky. Information was also announced that in the near future quarantine would also be removed from such territorial units as Ussuriysk, Spassk-Dalniy and Lesozavodsk.

Today, following the reports of the Primorsky authorities, absolutely all foci of infection of farm animals with foot and mouth disease have been eliminated. From now on, vaccinations all year round for cattle and small cattle will be carried out regularly as part of the adoption of preventive measures. Particular emphasis will be placed on vaccination of animals exhibiting high susceptibility to foot and mouth disease.

Recall that the foot and mouth disease virus was detected in the Primorsky Territory at the very beginning of 2019 and infected pigs in several wounds in the region. Since then, while maintaining the quarantine regime, about hundreds of thousands of pigs have been vaccinated.
