In the expanses of the Altai Territory, the sowing spring campaign of 2019 is ending. Local farmers were able to fulfill the plan outlined at the beginning of the season for ninety-two percent.
This information was shared with the public by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
Also, employees of the department note that Altai farmers managed to follow the plan without delay and reach the finish line even ahead of schedule.
Today it is known that in the marginal open spaces the area of spring fields is at least four million hectares.
The sowing process of the current year ends with the landing of buckwheat. Sowing dates correspond to the recommendations of specialists and are considered optimal for this plant.
At this point, buckwheat fields in the Altai Territory are located in vast territories, the total area of which exceeds two hundred and fifty thousand hectares. And this figure is not the limit for the current season.
It is also important to add that in parallel with the end of spring sowing, Altai agrarians carry out another important mission. In this case, we are talking about weed control on agricultural land. In addition, agricultural staff carry out full-field harrowing.
