Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada intend in the near future to begin consideration of draft law No. 9022 "On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine on the identification and registration of animals."
The creators of this document seek to attract animal owners to the design of veterinary passports. A specially created organization, the Administrator of the Unified State Register of Animals, will be engaged in the identification and registration of animals.
After the entry into force of the law, the Unified State Register of Animals is expected to work. Upon identification, each animal will receive its own individual number, which will be brought into the base. Animal owners can request an extract from the Unified Register for free. Owners of animals that are not registered will not be entitled to receive budget subsidies from the state.Recall that a few months ago in Ukraine began the mass registration of pets. As of March 1 of this year, 3.8 million livestock were registered and identified.
If the law is passed, then an animal with a veterinary passport and an implanted microchip will be considered identified.
