Greenhouse complexes located in different regions of the Russian Federation will soon launch a new unique product on the domestic market. We are talking about tomatoes of innovative Dutch varieties.
The seeds of these crops were delivered to Russian farmers by representatives of breeding enterprises in the Netherlands. The Russian importer of Dutch tomato seeds was ECO-Culture, a large Russian agricultural holding with a long history and excellent reputation.
According to suppliers, from now on, five new types of tomatoes that were developed by advanced Dutch breeders will be grown in Russian greenhouses. In the near future, until mid-summer of this year, tomato seeds from suppliers from Israel and another company from the Netherlands will be released to the Russian market. And then the agrarians involved in the work of the greenhouse complexes will begin to grow such types of tomatoes as: red plum mini-tomato, pink racemose tomato, yellow cherry tomatoes, wild strawberry and many others.
More than 80 hectares will be allocated for the cultivation of all these innovative varieties. According to experts of the agro-industrial complex, the yield of new tomatoes has every chance of reaching 35 thousand tons annually. If we talk about the cost of Dutch tomatoes, the farmers promise that their price will exceed the cost of packaged tomatoes by no more than 30%.
