As of November 25, it was confirmed that a total of 67 people were infected with strain E. There are infected people in at least 19 US states.
The permanent advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is that retailers do not sell and consumers do not eat romaine lettuce grown in Salinas, California. An investigation is underway regarding the source of pollution. The investigation also determines whether other products related to the disease may exist.
