According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the number of falsified dairy products is growing on the trading floors of the country with enviable constancy. To date, the volume of counterfeit milk in the domestic market varies from 8 to 12 percent.

The unscrupulous manufacturer changes the products declared in the technological map to others - cheaper and lower quality.

For example, animal fat is replaced with vegetable (in particular, palm oil), milk powder displaces natural milk from the composition. As a result, a quarter of the total volume of milk sold at Russian outlets, as well as a third of butter and more than half of all cottage cheese in Russia are counterfeit and do not meet quality standards.

Experts see the solution to the problem in creating a single information base for traceability of goods. Specialists plan to build this base on the basis of the information system of veterinarians operating today. Administers this system Rosselkhoznadzor.

By analyzing the data obtained thanks to information from the database, representatives of the supervisory authorities will be able to make serious decisions: which manufacturers to remove from the market forever, which ones - to give a chance to improve, and which to reward for good faith.
