The immediate plans of the Center’s management are to open a similar institution in Mongolia and Scotland, which is also famous for its achievements in breeding and keeping deer.
“We are pleased that the steps taken to develop reindeer husbandry in our country for the coming years are so calculated and obvious,” said Batulga Solnoy, a member of the association “Reindeer Herders of the World,” the Mongolian reindeer herder. He was saddened by the current state of the industry in his country and noticed how quickly the connection between generations in Mongolia was lost, long-standing traditions and practices were being lost. “Reindeer husbandry has been developing in our country for centuries, but today, during the period of weakening, I want to believe that the opening of the new Center will help us recreate the former glory and power of the Mongolian reindeer herders!”
