In particular, the department said that the members of the scientific commission from the International Epizootic Bureau fully studied and analyzed the information provided by the veterinary services of the Russian Federation.

After processing the data, the members of the expert commission came to the conclusion that the Russian breeders follow the rules prescribed in the Code of the International Epizootic Bureau for Terrestrial Animals. As a result of all the manipulations, the status of a foot-and-mouth disease-free state was restored for the Russian Federation.

Recall that the foot and mouth disease virus primarily affects cattle, as well as farm animals such as goats, pigs and sheep. The disease is infectious and acute, often leading to death of livestock.
