This year, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan decided to increase the area of agricultural land occupied by flax cultivation.
Such information was shared by representatives of the statistics committee under the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan. In addition, the department was quick to add that the current indicator of the area of flax fields in the country exceeds one million two hundred thousand hectares.
For clarity, it should be noted that a year earlier, Kazakh agrarians sowed seventeen percent less fields in flax than in the current 2019.
It will not be superfluous to note that in 2017 the total area of land on which Kazakh farmers cultivated flax was half that of the country's flax growers today.
All this eloquently indicates that the gross harvest of flaxseed in the current season can step over the mark of one million tons. Experts are sure that this indicator can be achieved provided that the existing average rates of productivity and productivity are maintained.
Analysts of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan add that today the total area of territories in which oil flax is grown in the country is equal to one million one hundred thousand hectares.
